Mike bought his first piece of real estate at 26 years old and earned a California Real Estate Broker License shortly thereafter. Since then, in addition to his real estate brokerage activities, Mike has bought, sold, leased, managed, marketed or syndicated single family residences, condominiums, income units, raw land, commercial buildings and business opportunities for his own and his family's account.

He has taught a Department of Real Estate-approved continuing education course on real estate syndication. He has made presentations before the California Municipal Treasurers Association, the California Society of Finance Officers, local governments, service clubs and charitable organizations. Mike has published over 300 real estate and financial advice columns and industry articles in periodicals and newspapers such as the North County Times, the San Clemente Times, the Orange County Register and the San Clemente Sun Post News.

Mike first glimpsed San Clemente as a young man on a slow-moving passenger train. The brief experience changed his life. He shares that powerful moment in an excerpt from a Sun Post News Article.

Mike knows San Clemente, and is well connected in town. He is President of the Spanish Village Foundation. Mike also serves on the Board of Directors of the San Clemente Historical Society and the San Clemente Downtown Business Association.

For donating 1000 "Fishcarts to Fiestas" San Clemente history books to third grade classes, members of the Historical Society are recognized by the Capistrano Unified School District Board.

Mike is Chair of the Historical Society's "Landmarks on Del Mar" Pedestrian Rest Area project in partnership with the DBA and the City of San Clemente. As President of the San Clemente Historical Society, Mike was appointed in to a 10-member task force to help develop a Historic Landmarks Preservation Ordinance for the City. At left, Mike addresses the San Clemente City Council on historical preservation issues.
Mike currently writes a Real Estate Advisor Column for the San Clemente Sun Post News, explaining the latest developments in the San Clemente real estate market. His thorough tracking of local residential and income property statistics and trends, along with his being frequently quoted in local real estate articles, has earned him the nickname, "Mr. San Clemente Real Estate."
